Anna May Henry is an artist and illustrator who works unconventionally in the tradition of still life to canonize everyday foods and familiar objects, investigating our relationships with place, class, and memory. With honesty and wit, her work reflects a dissatisfaction with the shortcomings of a precarious and inequitable labour market, the personal struggles of adult life in the 21st century, and the ongoing search for belonging, healing, and self-love in the midst. She works in mixed media on paper, digital drawings, ceramics, prints and multiples, murals, and more. Anna May lives in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
